BREAKING : RBI CUTS INTEREST RATE 25 BPS TO 6.25% FROM 6.5%

The RBI policy meet today has high stakes, and we are eagerly awaiting the announcements.

Apaarr Global Advisory expects a token rate cut of 25-50 basis points to address growth concerns. This move is anticipated to boost consumption, already supported by the budget.

Key Expectations:

- Rate Cut: At least 25 basis points reduction in the repo rate to stimulate economic growth. A 50 basis point can be a great alignment with government initiative to boost consumption.
- Liquidity Boost: Measures to increase liquidity in the system, addressing concerns that have been plaguing the economy.
- Rupee Depreciation: An orderly depreciation of the rupee, potentially paving the way for USD-INR to reach 89. Much needed support for export oriented businesses.
- Foreign Fund Flows: A possible shift in foreign fund flows following the bottoming out of the rupee.

The RBI's decision will have significant implications for the Indian economy, and all eyes are on Governor Sanjay Malhotra's first policy meeting.
