Chalai Bazaar

Vypin Island

Vypin Island is one of the islands that make up the cities of Kochi and Ernakulam. It is located just north of Fort Kochi and can be reached by ferry or by road. It is a long, narrow island, about 27 kilometres long and less than two kilometres wide at its widest point. Moreover, the Goshree Bridge, which is about 3 kilometres long and touches two other islands, connects it to mainland Kochi.
Despite being one of the world’s most densely populated islands, the drive along Vypin Island is very scenic. The Arabian Sea is on the west, and the scenic backwaters are on the east. Furthermore, palm trees line both sides of the walkway. Vypin Island also has a lighthouse and offers a surrounding view of the nearby beaches.

HiLite Mall

Located on the Palazhi bypass in the Malabar region of Kozhikode, HiLite Mall is the largest mall of North Kerala. Second largest in the state and amongst the biggest malls in the country, the gigantic shopping complex sprawls over a huge area of 1,400,000 square feet (130,000 m2). Vijay Beach Park

Constructed on the southern side of the Alappuzha backwaters, Vijay Beach Park is a wonderful initiative by the state government. The park is an ideal picnic spot for kids and adults alike. Priyadarshini Space Planetarium, Tirunavantapuram

Ranked among the most versatile planetariums in India, the Priyadarshini Space Planetarium was opened to public in 1994. It is fitted with advance equipment that allows the projection of all the constituents of universe. This planetarium imparts valuable knowledge about earth and the enormous universe that we all are part of. Simulating the star-studded night sky on any earth location is its most attractive feature.

The museum is situated in the campus of Kerala State Science and Technology Museum. Kayamkulam Lake, Alappuzha

Kayamkulam Lake used to be a lake before the authorities decided to break the bar separating it from the Arabian Sea to build a fishing harbor. As a result, it is now a lagoon. It is a place full of activities including fishing, races or other touristic activities. The aquatic life in this lagoon is very viable commercially, hence the popularity of the spot as a fishing ground.

Anchuruli Waterfalls

Situated amongst the gushing locations in Western Ghats Land and providing an enchanting view of the semi-evergreen forests grasslands, Anchuruli Waterfalls (also spelt as Anjuruli) is a surreal location definitely worth visiting.
