Lay VS. Lie 🔉
These two verbs could be easily confused since they're one of the most difficult irregular verbs. You need to understand their meaning before learning how to use them.

Definition of LAYLay means to put something or someone down. Remember, PUT STH DOWN. Hence, 'lay' is a transitive verb, which means a direct object will follow it.
