The all-inclusive era is the growing popularity of all inclusive among Generation Z, born from the mid-1990s to the early 2010s.

Renaissance of hotel restaurants — increased interest in gastronomy in hotels.

JOMO Travel is a vacation without fuss and an overloaded program.
The Phenomenon-List — travel to observe natural phenomena.

🇪🇸 Montserrat is the most popular Benedictine monastery in eastern Catalonia

For thousands of years, pilgrims have been attracted to this rocky sierra by the shrines of Catalonia: the Benedictine monastery, chapels and caves of Montserrat. About 80 monks live here.

Do not expect manifestations of deep spirituality. The complex has undergone quite a strong commercialization: on Sundays and holidays it is filled with crowds of people. Everything is well organized, including funiculars to Sant Joan and Santa Cova, a museum, restaurants, two hotels, shops and thoughtful routes along the Sierra, equipped with clear signs.

The biggest attraction is the wooden statue of the Virgin of Montserrat or La Moreneta ("darkie"), so named after the dark face. Try to get to the performance of Escolania, the oldest boys' choir in Europe. Under the esplanade there is a museum with a rather motley collection of exhibits.

🇨🇿 Soos is the kingdom of "boiling swamps"

Just 50 km from the famous Czech resort of Karlovy Vary, there is a small national park Soos. The place is unique in its nature and origin. Soos has many interesting features - here you can see the diatomite shield, mofets, various types of swamps with their unique inhabitants.

The name of this unusual natural attraction of the Czech Republic, "boiling swamp", was given by local residents due to the similarity of its appearance to the cauldron of a witch, the heroine of fairy tales, where a magical brew boils. A scientific trail has been laid on the territory, which is a 2 km long wooden deck passing through the most interesting places of the national park.

Swamps are becoming a new fashionable destination for tourists seeking unity with the wild environment. This unusual form of leisure, known as swamping, allows participants to retire to a swampy area, enjoy the views and even experience the features of this unique ecosystem.

🇳🇴 The Norwegian Troll Trail

A 56 km long stretch of road connects Oldansnes and Valldal. The cities are located in two different valleys, which have been separated by gorges and mountain rivers for centuries.

Stigfossen Waterfall is located near the observation deck. Tourists can enjoy a view of a large mountain full-flowing cascade. The height of the waterfall is 180 meters.
The place loses its appeal in bad weather, because of the high nebula, nothing is visible from the observation deck. Therefore, you should choose exceptionally clear days to travel along the Troll Road.

The tour bus ride is accompanied by the addition of a guide and an observation deck. The stop at the waterfall lasts 25 minutes so that travelers can see the views and calmly take pictures of the Troll Ladder from favorable angles.
Most passenger and tourist buses come from Ondalsnes. The cost of such a trip will cost from 1000 Norwegian kroner (€85). Due to the complexity of the site, the road is closed for most of the year.

THE KINDEST PET IN EUROPE

A video has been posted online about how a Labrador drives a shark away from people on a Spanish beach. This breed is the leader in Europe today. Only a German Shepherd can partially compete with a Labrador. But in terms of tenderness, love and friendliness, Labradors have no competitors at all. The affection of this dog is enough for the whole family.
The dog loves water for a reason, because its ancestors in the XIX century helped fishermen – they set nets, guarded boats and extracted fish from the ocean. One of the main duties of a Labrador is to jump from a boat to pull out a cod that the fisherman has lost from the line.
The birthplace of the Labrador Retriever is the Canadian island of Newfoundland. It is believed that Labradors were born when fishermen crossed dogs brought from England. In 1820, English aristocrats visited Canada for the first time. They did not return home alone, but with beautiful specimens of "Labrador dogs". That's how the breed got to Europe.

Fresco by Andrea Pozzo in the Church of Sant' Ignazio Di Loyola in Rome

This is one of the "must see" for all tourists, travelers and enthusiasts who are in Rome. However, by the 500th anniversary of its creation, in 2021, the mural was digitized by Haltadefinition, a technology company specializing in the digitization of cultural property. Now it can be carefully considered, even without visiting Rome.

The temple was completely built in 1626 according to the project of Giovanni da Perugia. It is known as the church of the Roman College, founded by Ignatius Loyola for the free education of young people.

The church is interesting for its interior in the shape of a Latin cross. There are three chapels on each side. Polychrome marble, stucco, picturesque decorations and many altars add splendor to everything. The main character, this large fresco of the vault, is the centerpiece of the church's decoration and was created by Andrea Pozzo.

🇧🇬 What to bring from Bulgaria

First of all, Bulgaria is associated with roses and all kinds of products made on their basis.

People brought the rose to these parts from Persia, and here it found its second homeland. Currently, this flower is considered a national symbol of Bulgaria.

Bulgarians call essential rose oil "liquid gold". Firstly, it is the most expensive in the world, and secondly, it has priceless properties. So, the Romans believed that rose oil helps against 32 diseases, and Cleopatra washed her face with rose water every morning to stay young and beautiful.

To obtain 1 kilogram of oil, 2.5 tons of "Charles" rose petals are required. The price for 1 ml of rose oil here is about 40 EUR. Bulgarian cosmetics based on rose oil and rose water will be cheaper.

For example, a 5 ml bottle of rose-based perfumed water can be purchased for 2 EUR. The smell of the rose will be quite persistent and will not hit your pocket.

🇷🇸 Devil's Town - a rare natural phenomenon in southern Serbia

It is the only candidate from Serbia for inclusion in the list of 7 world natural wonders. It has two rare phenomena - fragile clay figures with heavy stone lids on top and two springs of extremely acidic water, uniting the earthly and heavenly.

Many legends have arisen here. The most famous one is about the pious people who lived in this place. This annoyed the devil, who prepared ‘devil's water’ for them. After drinking it, the people went mad and decided to marry their brother and sister.

When God saw this, he turned all the wedding guests and newlyweds into stones to prevent incest. Since then, the petrified figures have stood there forever.

According to legend, there were 200 guests at the wedding, so 202 figures with the newlyweds have been preserved in Devil's Town. When a strong wind blows, various sounds similar to human screams can be heard. That's why this place got the name Devil's Town.

🇮🇹 Italy has passed a law banning surrogacy tourism

Surrogacy has been banned in the Apennines since 2004. Violators face imprisonment from three months to two years and a fine of 600,000 to 1 million euros.

To avoid problems at home, many Italians travelled to countries where surrogacy is allowed. Now they will no longer be able to use this right.

The Italian Senate has introduced a ban on surrogacy for couples who have resorted to this practice abroad. Henceforth, their actions will be qualified as a ‘universal offence’ and Italian couples who have used surrogacy services may be prosecuted.

Notably, the Vatican has insisted on recognising surrogacy, ‘a form of slavery and exploitation’ of the female body, as a universal crime. Human rights activists called the law ‘medieval’. The innovation was also criticised by Italian opposition parties.

🇳🇱 The last amphibious vehicle parade in Amsterdam

The Amphibious Car Parade was first held in 1987 and Amsterdam has hosted it four times since then. In August 2024 was the last amphibious car parade through the city's canals. From 2025, only zero-emission vehicles will be allowed here.

The last swim was attended by 100 car enthusiasts, the organisers said, and next year the event will be held in Belgium. The forum took place in Amsterdam and its suburbs for several days. The number of people who wanted to take part in the parade was limited by the organisers.

As you know, some electric cars, such as the BYD YangWang U8, can cross a water barrier by swimming, but for a limited time. For now, the electric cars are too heavy to swim.
