Asia Pacific stocks mostly lower ahead of July economic data releases
The Reserve Bank of Australia said in its monetary policy statement released Friday that the pace of recovery of the Australian economy is “expected to be slower than previously forecast.”
China’s trade figures for July are set to be out on Friday. Investors will watch the data for clues to the state of China’s export sector as it looks to recover from the economic hit of the coronavirus pandemic.
Later on Friday morning stateside, the U.S. jobs report for July is expected to be out at 8:30 a.m. ET. Economists forecast 1.48 million jobs were gained in July, down sharply from the 4.8 million in June, according to Dow Jones.
