The junta chief is neither in Pyin Oo Lwin nor in Naypyitaw.

#UPDATE: No fighting heard anymore in Pyin Oo Lwin. Some structures in town, including one on the general hospital grounds, were damaged. According to people close to the issue, the junta chief left town on Sunday and has yet to return to the capital, Naypyitaw.

#UPDATE: The spokesperson of the #Myanmar junta at an occasion in the capital early today revealed to the media that Aung San Suu Kyi's total pardon sentence will be six years, although the official announcement has not been made at that time.

So she still has to serve the remaining 27 years of her sentence.

#MYANMAR: An airstrike in the Sagaing region of northwestern Myanmar killed dozens of people Tuesday, according to eyewitnesses and leaders of insurgent groups that have been fighting the country’s military junta.

Entire buildings were reported leveled in the attack on Kanbalu Township, about 130 miles northwest of Mandalay, in what might have been one of the deadliest such strikes since Myanmar’s military seized power in a coup two years ago.
