Punjab Police has busted an inter-state gang behind 'digital arrest' cyber fraud, arresting two accused from #Assam.

A 76-year-old retired officer was duped of ₹76 lakhs by fraudsters posing as Mumbai Cyber Crime officials, placing him under a fake "Digital Arrest" via #WhatsApp

An FIR was registered, revealing the gang's involvement in 11 cases worth ₹15 crore across seven states.

#DGP Punjab urged citizens to stay vigilant and report cybercrime at Helpline 1930 or cybercrime.punjabpolice.gov.in.
