Vishu Celebrations at Prasanthi Nilayam | April 13, 2025

On the auspicious eve of Vishu, the Kerala New Year, hundreds of devotees, especially youth members, gathered in reverence at Prasanthi. The evening was a soulful blend of culture, devotion, and values, centered on the profound message of Love, Truth, and Bliss as taught by Bhagawan.

The session began with an inspiring address by Sri Jyotilal (IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Govt of Kerala). Drawing from his extensive administrative experience and personal introspection, he spoke on the real-life application of Bhagawan’s immortal words: “Love Is My Form, Truth Is My Breath, Bliss Is My Food.” He elaborated on the present-day realities, shedding light on the rising existential challenges among today’s youth caught in the dichotomy of Law vs Love, Reel Life vs Real Life, and Screen Time vs Face Time.

The evening's soulful resonance was further deepened by two divine musical offerings. First was a violin instrumental duet titled 'Sruthi Layam' presented by the renowned duo Suresh Ambady and Deekshith Nadalya and their team. Blending classical ragas with bhajan melodies, their performance was a seamless fusion that stirred the hearts of listeners and elevated the ambience with pure devotion.

Following this was a vibrant presentation by the Sai Young Messengers titled 'Sai Sangeethika'. This marked their third consecutive performance for Vishu, and with each year, their dedication has visibly grown. About 100 young participants came together to offer their musical tribute to Bhagawan, aptly themed as Melody to Bliss, in alignment with the ongoing Centenary Celebrations of Bhagawan. The collective devotion, discipline, and harmony of their performance left the audience immersed in blissful vibrations.

May the spirit of Vishu awaken the light of wisdom, the joy of selfless service, and the sweetness of divine love in all our hearts.

With hearts brimming with devotion and voices soaked in divine love, the Tamil Nadu Youth Ladies offered a soul-stirring devotional music presentation titled Prema Vaibhavam in the sacred precincts of Sai Kulwant Hall on the eve of Tamil New Year. What is necessary to make our Sadhana successful? Bhagawan most lovingly guides us today so that we may be successful in our spiritual endeavours.

When there is hard rock below, you have to bore deeper for tapping the underground perennial pure water. The softer the subterranean soil, the quicker the success. Make your heart soft; then, success is quick in sadhana. Talk soft, talk sweet, talk only of God – that is the process of softening the subsoil. Develop compassion, sympathy; engage in service, understand the agony of poverty, disease, distress and despair; share both - tears and cheers with others. That is the way to soften the heart, and help sadhana to succeed. Satsang is like quaffing pure crystal water. Dussang – the company of the vicious, the ungodly, the impure – is like quaffing saltwater from the sea; no amount of sugar added to it can make it quaffable! It increases thirst.

- Divine Discourse, May 10, 1969.

If there is anything sweeter than all things sweet, more auspicious than all things auspicious, holier than all holy objects, verily, it is the name of the Lord — or the Lord Himself! - #SriSathyaSai

_Nandanar - Musical Drama by the Bal Vikas Children and Alumni from Tamil Nadu | April 12, 2025_

The serene evening in Sai Kulwant Hall began on a spiritually uplifting note as the Balvikas boys of Tamil Nadu commenced the proceedings with resonant Vedam chanting. An evocative portrayal of the life and spiritual journey of Saint Nandanar followed next.

Born in the culturally rich village of Adhanur in Tamil Nadu, young Nandanar was nurtured on stories of Lord Shiva shared by his father, which instilled in him a pure and profound sense of devotion. As he grew, Nandanar became known for his noble character, humility, and the constant chanting of the Lord’s name.

A significant turning point in his life came when he and his fellow field workers decided to visit the Shiva temple at Thirupunggur. Due to societal restrictions based on caste, they were not allowed to enter the temple and were heartbroken at being denied the Lord’s darshan. Moved by the moment, young Nandanar prayed earnestly to Lord Nandeeshwara, pleading for a glimpse of the divine. Responding to the intensity of his devotion, the idol of Lord Nandi miraculously shifted, offering a clear and blissful view of Lord Shiva to the astonished and overjoyed devotees.

With his longing for the Lord growing deeper, Nandanar began to yearn for a vision of Lord Nataraja at the holy temple of Chidambaram. However, life presented many obstacles. Expected to continue his work in the fields, he accepted it as the will of the Lord and carried out his duties with devotion and perseverance. Miraculously, his efforts began to yield extraordinary results, softening the heart of his landlord, who eventually granted him permission to embark on his pilgrimage.

As he journeyed towards Chidambaram, Nandanar received a divine vision in which Lord Shiva revealed that he would be tested before being granted darshan. Undaunted, he welcomed the challenge, determined to undergo any hardship for the chance to behold his beloved Lord. At the same time, Lord Shiva appeared in the dreams of the temple priests and instructed them to prepare a blazing fire through which Nandanar must pass. Unwavering in his faith, Nandanar walked through the fire without harm, emerging unscathed and spiritually radiant. Entering the sanctum sanctorum of Chidambaram, he was finally granted the divine darshan of Lord Nataraja. In that sacred moment, his soul merged at the feet of the Lord, fulfilling the ultimate spiritual union he had so earnestly sought.

The Balvikas students of Tamil Nadu brought this touching tale to life with heartfelt devotion, interweaving traditional folk dances, expressive drama, and melodious songs. Their vibrant and soul-stirring performance deeply moved the audience and served as a powerful reminder of the transformative strength of faith, love, and surrender.

Devotional Music Program by the Sai Youth (Gents) from Tamil Nadu | April 12, 2025

In the sacred ambience of Prasanthi Nilayam, the eve of the Tamil New Year was marked by a deeply moving devotional music program presented by the Sai Youth - Gents from Tamil Nadu. Around 1000 devotees from across the state had lovingly gathered at the Abode of Highest Peace to welcome the New Year in the divine presence of Bhagawan, offering their hearts in joyous surrender and gratitude.

The morning program began with a prayerful invocatory vedam chanting by the Bal Vikas girls. The Sai Youth rendered a bouquet of melodious bhajans and devotional songs, celebrating the infinite love and grace of Bhagawan. Sung in multiple Indian languages, the songs reflected the unity in diversity of our sacred culture, weaving together the spiritual richness of Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, and other tongues into a harmonious tribute to the Divine.
Each song was interspersed with inspirational commentary, guiding the hearts of devotees toward reflection and deeper connection with the Lord. The narration echoed themes of service, devotion, and surrender, creating a serene rhythm between music and message.

An interesting offering this morning was a sublime instrumental rendition of the Tyagaraja kriti “Entha Muddo, Entha Sogasu.” The composition was further elevated by a masterful performance embellished with an intricate 100 akshara korvai (rhythmic patterns).

Why are we unable to harness all the potency within us? Bhagawan lovingly explains and enthuses us!

With determination, man can touch the sky and conquer the world. But today man is losing this strength. What is the reason for this? He is losing his mastery over the senses. The more sensual he is, the lesser is the lifespan. Today’s man is losing his physical strength and consequently destroying his inner strength completely. To remain immortal and retain youth, the power of the senses should be developed by controlling them. There should be no body-attachment. If on one hand, man loses control over the senses and on the other hand, he develops body-attachment, then what will be his plight? These two can be compared to two holes in a pot filled with water. Water is filled in such a pot, which gets drained. Similarly, the pot of our heart is filled with nectarous grace of God. Man has to foster his heart. But without forbearance and sympathy, he has drilled holes into it. Consequently, his lifespan has decreased. In this limited life span, what good deeds can he do? How can he work for the welfare of the society? God-given strength should be utilized properly by Satsangam (Good Company), by Satpravartana (Good conduct) and by Seva (Service). Only then can your strength improve.

- Divine Discourse, Oct 02, 2000.
