INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE (ISL) CHANGES FOR NEXT SEASON
⚽ Asian Player Quota Removed:
ISL clubs will no longer need to sign an Asian player.
This follows changes in AFC club competition rules.
⚽ Foreign Player Rules:
ISL clubs can sign five international players.
Maximum of four foreign players can be on the field at any time.
⚽ Salary Cap Increase:
Salary cap will increase from Rs 16.5 crore to Rs 18 crore.
Two players (domestic or international) per club will be exempt from the salary cap.
Previously, only a marquee player's salary was outside the cap.

Clubs have been informally informed about these possible changes for the 2024-25 season.
