KVS TGT Mathematics Interview Experience – Secunderabad

I reached the campus around 12 PM, but entry was delayed by more than an hour and we had to wait outside in the sun. Entry was done one by one. After entry, registration number and board were checked, followed by biometric, hologram on T3 admit card and verification of T1 and T2 admit cards.
Then we went for document verification. There were around 10 candidates and I was the last one for DV. My documents were all fine. DV was quite detailed and they checked and matched almost everything, including marks. One OBC candidate was not allowed because of the date of the OBC certificate.
My interview was also the last one. They first asked me to introduce myself and then asked about my father’s occupation, family and what I had been doing since completing B.Ed. in 2025. I mentioned KVS, NVS and other exams, and they asked why KVS. The entire interview was in English.
For the demo, I presented Arithmetic Progression. They listened patiently and then gave me a question from AP and asked me to solve it step by step on the board.
After that, they asked about handling disturbing students and classes, whether I would punish them, how Mathematics can develop critical reasoning, and competency-based questions. They also asked me to frame a competency-based question.
Overall, it was a wonderful experience. I answered every question without fumbling. The panel was patient and the interview felt more like a normal conversation.
For those appearing next, prepare your demo properly and be ready for questions from the same topic. Also revise basic pedagogy, classroom situations and competency-based questions. And keep all documents and certificates ready, especially category certificates. All the best! 🙏
