🔷 New mammalian species added to Kaziranga’s fauna:
• Recently, the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger
Reserve in Assam has received the addition of two
new mammalian species,
1. the elusive binturong
2. the small-clawed otter.
🔷 North-east's first naturopathy institute:
• The first Central Research Institute of Yoga & Naturopathy of the North East at is being opened at Dehing Khamtighat Gaon at Dibrugarh.
🔷 Inter river linking project:
🔺Ken Betwa Link Project-
• It is the first project under the National Perspective Plan for interlinking of rivers.
• The Ken-Betwa Link Canal will be 221 km long, including a 2-km long tunnel.
• Ken and Betwa rivers originate in Madhya Pradesh.
• Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh (MP) signed an MoU with Ministry of Jal Shakti for implementation of the Modified Parbati-Kalisindh-Chambal-ERCP (Modified PKC-ERCP) Link Project.

• Marking Meghalaya’s 52nd statehood day on
January 21 this year, the state government
ceremoniously released an official state anthem.
• The two-minute-long anthem features segments in three languages – Khasi, Garo and English.
