ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਕਮਿਸ਼ਨਰੇਟ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਖੁਫੀਆ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ 'ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਕਾਰਵਾਈ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਰਹੱਦ ਪਾਰ ਨਸ਼ੀਲੇ ਪਦਾਰਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਨੈੱਟਵਰਕ ਨੂੰ ਵੱਡਾ ਝਟਕਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਅਜਨਾਲਾ, ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤਸਰ ਦਿਹਾਤੀ ਤੋਂ 5 ਕਿਲੋ ਹੈਰੋਇਨ ਅਤੇ 3.95 ਲੱਖ ਰੁਪਏ ਦੀ ਡਰੱਗ ਮਨੀ ਬਰਾਮਦ ਕਰਕੇ 3 ਵਿਅਕਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਗ੍ਰਿਫਤਾਰ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।
ਐਨ.ਡੀ.ਪੀ.ਐਸ ਐਕਟ ਦੇ ਤਹਿਤ ਇੱਕ ਐਫ.ਆਈ.ਆਰ ਦਰਜ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ ਹੈ।
