​​Jenukal Gudda

From Pandavar Gudda or the Betta Byraveshwara Temple, you can trek to Jenukallu Peak, the second-highest in the state. Also known as ‘honey stone mountain’ or “Hodachalli”, Jenukal Trek of 8 kilometres will challenge your skill and treat you with the coffee plantations, green woods and the views of the Arabian Sea and the peaks namely Sheshaparvata, Kumara Parvata and Ettina Bhuja.

Jenukallu, Jenukal or Jenkal Gudda is 40 kilometres from Sakleshpur and from Betta Byraveshwara Temple, your round trip trek will take more or less 4-5 hours. the initial ascent is gradual and therefore, easy to walk along while the final stretch requires proper skill as it is very steep including a number of narrow paths running through rocky terrain with vertical fall on another side. Avoid climbing during monsoon as these paths especially become very tricky and risky, same goes for the Deepadha or Diggallu Kallu clubbed with the Jenukal Betta that remains shrouded in thick mist resulting in low visibility.

​​🏖 Tannirbhavi Beach

Tannirbhavi Beach is one of the popular beaches in the city. The coastline with golden sand and cool, fresh air is rejuvenating, and people are drawn to the natural beauty of the location. Proper seats and other facilities make the beach a frequently visited attraction, and it is crowded often on weekends and public holidays. Entering the sea is not advisable, but one can try their hand at one of the water sports at the beach. There are lifeguards to keep an eye and rescue in case of an accident, however, visitors are advised to be careful while entering the water.

The beach only lately gained a lot of popularity with the installation of modern facilities like proper washrooms, parking spaces, lifeguards and several eatery stalls. A couple of concrete benches and sheds have also been installed and tall light masts are placed, for the safety and convenience of the tourists.

​​🌧 Chandrampalli dam

The Chandrampalli dam is located in Karnataka, in the district of Gulbarga. It is one of the primary dams constructed on the bed of river Bhima (during 1973). The dam is surrounded by the thick covers of Gottam Gotta forest. There is an island located on the Dam which has attracted various tourists and visitors. The Dam is about 28.65 meters high and 926 meters long. The pleasant weather of the town is accompanied by the beautiful scape of the two mountains that are connected through the Dam. The region has emerged as an ideal location for trekking and camping.

The Chandrampalli dam is an earthen dam and hence is built of sand, loam, clay and other materials. The Dam has 6 spillway gates, located at the southern end of the dam. The dam can hold a water level up to 496.21 meters. It has a storage capacity of 34.19 mcm. It also has a pathway, broad enough for walking or driving across the dam. The dam is 962 meters long and 28.65 meters high. The flow of the river Bhima at the dam rises during monsoons and dries up during the summer. The area around the dam is not densely civilized because of which tourists can enjoy the natural beauty of the place. This has also contributed to the emergence of this place as a beautiful tourist place.

​​🕌 Shorapur Fort

The Nayaks of Shorapur, who ruled Shorapur from around 1639 to 1857 have left an indelible mark on the history of the region. They built Shorapur city and a fort which was ruined by the attack of Mughals. However, it is believed Nayaks forces defeated Mughal forces and repossessed the fort. The fort walls are spread over several steep faced hills surrounding the town. It is also known for its old hilltop bungalow called Taylor Manzil built by Philip Meadows Taylor, a British officer who was commissioned to look after the Shorapur Principality.

​​🌧 Gokak Falls

Gokak Falls is known for its beautifully turbulent waters gushing over the rocks and down to a fall of 52 metres (170 feet). This humongous waterfall has a 170 meter long, hanging rope suspension bridge built over it that which allow visitors to walk right above the fall and feel the wind pushed by the river. The falls are located 60 km from Belgaum city.

Gokak Falls gets its name from the Goki river of the region. Starting from the Ghataprabha river, that traverses a long distance before entering the rocky belt of Gokak, the waterfall is 52 meters in height. Falling into the Gokak valley, the falls crash against the valley and form a horseshoe at its crest. Apart from the colour of the water and its width of 177 metres, the general features of Gokak Falls give it a resemblance with US’s Niagara Falls.

​​🕌 Gaddige Raja's Tomb

Built in the Indo-Saracenic style of architecture, this beautiful structure of Gaddige Raja's tomb is the mortal remains of the Kodavad Royalty. These tombs date back to 1820. The structure houses three tombs, the central one for the Kodava King Doddaveerarajendra and his wife Mahadeviamma, the other two tombs are for the Chikkaveerarajendra's father and his guru, Rudrappa. A few meters from the tomb is the Muttappa Temple.

​​🕌 Chaukhandi of Hazrat Khalil Ullah

Located at a distance of 4km from Bidar, Chaukhandi is a tomb created in the honor of Hazrat Khalil Ullah, the spiritual advisor of Mughal emperor Ahmad Shah.

The tomb is in itself a magnificent structure featuring a two storied octagonal shaped tomb adorned with stone work and beautiful calligraphy. It also features granite pillars with incredible carving.

​​🌊 Barkana Falls

The Barkana Falls are located between Agumbe and Shimoga and derive their name from ‘Barka’, the mouse deer, a shy creature that inhabits this particular region. The trek route runs through the dense rainforests of the Western Ghats. ​​New Mangalore Port

The New Mangalore Port situated in Panambur, Mangalore in the state of Karnataka is run and governed new Mangalore trust. It is one of the most major ports located in Karnataka and is the seventh largest port in the country. It was inaugurated on 4th May 1974 by the then prime minister of India, Indira Gandhi. The port lies in Panambur that is, the west coast of India. It lies to the north of Phalguni River to the Arabian Sea.

New Mangalore Port is a remote area of all the coasts located in Karnataka and Kerala. Being the seventh largest port in the country, it is a place where some of the most primary commodities are imported as well as exported.

Some of the major products which are exported include pellets, iron ore fines and concentrates, coffee, cashew, manganese, granite stones and containerized cargo. Some of the commodities which are majorly imported include LPG, crude, petroleum products, wood pulp, logs of timber, fertilisers, liquid ammonia, liquid chemicals, containerized cargo and numerous other products. All the projects associated with the port were started in 1962.
