👋 Hey,
@Alph4 here.
If you're part of the modding community, you may be aware of the recent issues with
Google Play Integrity.Google is using this project to
exclude custom ROMs from accessing certain functionalities and applications, under the pretext of security. However, we all know that a device updated to Android 15 by the community is often more secure than a device running Android 11 with outdated security patches abandoned by the manufacturer.
The primary issue with this situation is clear: it's a
monopolistic practice by Google to maintain its dominant position in the Android ecosystem.
Interestingly,
the European Union is already aware of this. While not currently a top priority, the EU is treating this situation as supplementary information for ongoing investigations into Google's monopolistic practices.
As a European citizen, I dream of gathering a group of passionate individuals, collecting testimonials and signatures to demonstrate to the EU how crucial this issue is to us.
