India's retail inflation hit a nine-month high of 5.5% in September, breaking the RBI's 4% target.

👉 Food prices rose 9.24% after staying below 6% in July and August

👉 Vegetable inflation surged from 10.7% in August to a 14-month high of 36% in September

India’s 2nd-largest private sector bank, ICICI Bank, just crossed a massive ₹9 trillion market cap! 💥

> Net Interest Margin (NIM) is like a bank’s profit on loans!

💰 It shows how much a bank earns from lending after paying interest on deposits

📊 Example: If a bank earns ₹10 on loans but pays ₹6 on deposits, NIM is 4%. Higher NIM = better profits!

> CASA Ratio measures how much of a bank's money comes from low-cost deposits (savings & current accounts)

🔑 Example: A 40% CASA ratio means 40% of the bank’s deposits are from savings/current accounts – more low-cost funds for lending!

> NPA (Non-Performing Assets) = Loans the bank can’t recover.

📉 Example: If a borrower doesn’t repay the loan for 90 days, it becomes an NPA, meaning the bank earns nothing from it. Higher NPAs = trouble for banks!
